Who we are

Our garden design practice grew out of a deep love for plants, place and ecological concerns. With an MFA in visual art and over 30 years of hands-on gardening experience, Sharon Strauss brings a creative and intuitive lens to every project. 

Inspired by the rhythms of the seasons and the subtle intelligence of ecological relationships, we create gardens that are both artful and environmentally grounded.

We believe the best way to understand a garden is to experience it. That is why we open our own space to the public offering tours and open houses that invite visitors to walk the paths, experience the planting communities in action, and to see what is possible on a typically sized urban lot.

Our work blends creativity, collaboration and ecological awareness. Each garden is a response to its site, soil and people—designed to support life, invite reflection and build a lasting sense of place.
